Book about Mostar

It’s a great project that I’ve been involved in as a photographer and a designer.

Although smaller circulation, the press is offset, with a hard linen cover.

The page layout was designed in 4 columns, fonts italic and serif, wide horizontal format B4.

The family gathering is rounded off in a monumental book of over 300 pages, published by the publisher Svet knjige. Descendants of families are involved in the creation of this book with their testimonies, memories, and anecdotes.

The introductory speech was written by Orthodox Bishop Grigorije, and other texts are signed by B. Peško, S. Andrejević, Z. Serdarević, D. Mastilović, I. Šain, R. Krulj and other authors and descendants of families.

In May 2016 I photographed this festive gathering and the photos are in the book, but besides them, the book abounds in historical data, documents, and photographs. While going through the pages, the texts of memories and descriptions of the city, you can feel kind of regret and melancholy for the times of happy, intimate, family life, the friendly and cordial atmosphere of the town, and interpersonal closeness that I do not know whether it came from this mild climate or simply good-natured people.
